-Seed created a legacyput his family firstand had conviction in his beliefs (that turned out to be right). This idea that his insanity was actually based in something took Seed to new level, leading fans to be happy with his surprising return in New Dawn . This added a new layer to the character, perhaps giving him more depth than others, and is something Ubisoft should replicateThe antagonists of New Dawn , Mickey and Lou, were the opposite though. They really had no depth and committed evil for evil's sake; in other words, the Far Cry 6 villain should take more after Joseph Seed than Mickey and Lou, replicating success and learning from mista+Of courseall of this wouldn't have stung quite so badly if Capcom hadn't unveiled an on-stage demo of their own at Microsoft's presser: Resident Evil 6 . As the series that made the survival-horror genre one that could support numerous franchiseswe had hoped for a return to formWith all the seriesfavorite characters returning in one game, the stage was set to capitalize on all their individual strengths. What we got instead was action that even Michael Bay would call "a bit mu

-GLaDOS' charisma comes from her rather unique sense of humor as she mocks the player through each level. However, the further you get into the Portal seriesyou realize that her humor is something of a defense mechanism, and the only way she seems to be able to retain what small bit of sanity she still has after she has been assaulted with personality cores and the rest of the mad scientists at Aperture. She is evil, but she also seems to genuinely care about her job. Her personality is one that fluctuates and changes throughout the game. She is an entertaining villain because she has real personality, as she goes through a full spectrum of emotions throughout the two games. She is arguably the best written character that gaming has ever seen, as her subtle nuances make her more than just an evil AI. Maybe it is something akin to Stockholm Syndrome, but she sometimes seems to actually care about you. Or maybe she is just an AI that plays mind games to make you think that. Either way, GLaDOS is one of the most complex and enjoyable villains in gaming.+

-One of the most anticipated games of the yearAnthem , is also the most promising co-op title of the year. In Anthem, players take on the role of a Freelancer in an exosuit called a Javelin to make their way through a shared world that will feature both single-player and co-op gameplay modes. Teams can have a squad of up to four players to explore the science fiction-like landscape of the world that often changes thanks to something called "Shaper Storms." There isn't a lot of information available on the title, but the developer, BioWare, has enough of a fanbase to make this one of the more popular titles of the y+Of course that would be conjecture if it weren't for Jason Schreier, formerly of Kotakustating that Far Cry was among the Ubisoft's release slate for this year. There were plenty of Far Cry 6 rumors flying around the internet prior to Schreier's comments on Twitter, but his voice carries plenty of weight throughout the game industry. Considering he was right about Assassin's Creed Valhalla being one of the five aforementioned AAA games eventually revealed and its viking theme, Far Cry is likely on the way as w

-Ubisoft once perfect the open world action-adventure formula with its past games, namely by focusing on an interesting and eccentric villain to push it forward. An attempt at this can be seen in every gamealthough arguablynone are able to live up to Far Cry 3 's Vaas MontenegroFar Cry 4 'Pagan Min and Far Cry 5 's Joseph Seed are still good sources from which Far Cry 6 can learnbut aside from Vaas, perhaps Ubisoft should look closely at Seed and New Dawn 'Mickey and L+That's not to say that the Battlefield franchise hasn't had "interesting" locations—FranceItalythe Gallipolli Peninsula, Norway, just to name a few and far moreHowever, even when accentuated with Battlefield 'trademark capabilities of destruction , these areas don't really come to life. -Perhaps the most interesting rumor thus far comes from Reddit AMA with the franchise's most iconic villainEarlier in AprilVaas actor Michael Mando was answering fan questions regarding both Far Cry 3 as well as his role in AMC'Better Call Saul as Nacho Varga . One of the questions asked of Mando was "Do you still get recognized as Vaas or do more people see you as Nacho now?" Mando responded in general his love for the character Vaas that he co-created during Far Cry 3 's developmentbut also went on to mention that he may be able to reprise the role "very soon," seemingly as j+Namely, Peru and Bolivia share borderThis is important because another Ubisoft titleGhost Recon Wildlands , which has already explored similar themes. -While there were some rumors about potential new Splinter Cell entry coming in the next fiscal year, the leaks were corroborated to be the now-confirmed Assassin'Creed Valhalla and the still unconfirmed Far Cry 6 .  +Let's make one thing clear here: press conferences are incredibly complicated events. Orchestrating several of a publisher's highest-ranking executives delivering well-worded announcements and teases alongside highly-honed gameplay demonstrations is an art form that almost all of the biggest studios on hand performed better than usual. In fact, with the events being so meticulously planned and structured, seeing those on stage deliver off-the-cuff statements (look no farther than Michael Irving during EA's presser) can quickly become a highli
