-Critical hit volume reduced by 15% +Blizzard promised us new maps in 2017, and boy did they deliver! The new king-of-the-hill map Oasis was released just three days into the new year. Now that's what you call making good on a promise. With 362 more days in the year, though, Overwatch players are wondering what else may be in the works for the development team. Oasis comes chock-full of backstory as a technologically advanced utopia society, founded by eight of the world's leading scientists. Despite having killer traffic (watch out, the cars will knock you off the map!) and boasting an amazing elevator of death, the three Oasis maps are actually quite symmetrical and seemingly basic. King-of-the-hill maps are fun, but players are also hoping to see more payload or multiple objective maps in the future. And although a flashy story is nice, fans also want to see more of the places they've already seen in Overwatch 's digital shorts and comics. Can we build upon the lore a little more before expanding the unive

-Developer Comments: Winston's head hit volume was just abnormally big, making him take more damage than he otherwise shouldThis change brings it more in line with other her+
+Bastion is a perfect example of the fluidity of Overwatch If this list had been written only a few weeks ago, Bastion would have come in near the top. Thankfully, they nerfed Bastion when they realized how powerful he had become, bringing him back down to Earth - and the back third of this l

-Blizzard Entertainment released patch notes and information on new update that is now available in the game's Public Test Region on PCSpecifically, the new update addresses some balance changes with certain Heroessuch as Roadhog'hook being a bit more balanced, while Ana, D.Va, and Sombra also have some changes in p+Theobold played Ivy Stuart, maid who joined the regular cast midway through season three. The character stuck around through season four before Cara left to pursue other opportunitiesSince thenshe has starred in episodes of Call the Midwife and The Syndicate, as well as the lead role in the underrated Netflix Original series Crazyhead . Apparently, Tracer'oh-so-British tones were supposed to be more of an authentic London Cockney accentbut Blizzard changed their mind and went for the cheery "cor blimey guv'nor" voice after the audition proc

Though the game is mostly the same across platforms, there are a few outlying situations where changes were made out of necessity. One of these changes is with everyone's favorite Swedish engineer that they just love to hate: Torbjörn. Due to perceived differences in reaction time from PC to console, the console version of Torbjörn's turret was adjusted to have lower damage, as it was difficult to notice and avoid his turret's lock-on before it was too lateThis was an adjustment made early into the [[https://factnew.com/|FPS Game Missions]]'s release, which has since seen most other characters get modified health or armor and altered damage outputs. Many players, either Torbjörn fans or teammates that just want their stubborn friends to be more successful in putting enemies downthink it'time to revisit Torbjörn's damage and make him more viable as a defensive hero. People always underestimate the engine+Bastion has long been dubbed "the noob killer" due to his ability to dominate at lower levels of play. Unfortunately, as players gain more skill, they learn how to deal with Bastion and take him out before he becomes a problemBastion can be strongbut he'too situational to put among some of the better perform

-In September, Blizzard released the _World of WarcraftLegion _ Companion App, and for the first time ever, players can engage with select in-game activities and continue gameplay even when away from their PCsMillions of players have already used the app and are logging in an average of 4 to 5 times every +_Developer CommentsThis is actually reverting a change that we made a few patches agowhich made players immune to knockbacks if they were hit by an effect from inside her barrier. This had some negative side effects, such as making targets immune to knockbacks from effects that pierce barriers, like Reinhardt’s charge and Winston’s Primal Rage punches. Now, these will cause knockback again. This does not affect knockbacks from effects that originate from outside her barriers, such as Pharah’s Concussive BlastThose will still be blocked by the barriers, not causing any knockback. _ Zeny

-Bastion has long been dubbed "the noob killerdue to his ability to dominate at lower levels of playUnfortunately, as players gain more skillthey learn how to deal with Bastion and take him out before he becomes a problem. Bastion can be strong, but he'too situational to put among some of the better perform+Whilst the chronal accelerator is mostly a life support device, it also grants Tracer several awesome powers. She can control her own personal time bubble, meaning she can"blink" forward and even rewind time within certain parameters, making her an incredibly hard target to hit. The harness has been damaged twice so far in Overwatch lore, once in the cinematic trailer and again at the end of CGI mini-movie "Alive"On each occasionTracer was able to stay in the present time, but it'unclear whether this was by luck or des

-This is the smallest change, but oh so beneficialCurrently on console, auto-joining teamchat is turned off by defaultAll Overwatch players on console want is to have it turned on be defaultFor a game that takes a lot of team cooperation to win an objective, it'essential that the players be able to communicate. On PC, it'fairly simple to press 'p' and click from 'Group Chat' to 'Team Chat.' But on the consoleit's not so simple, where you have to navigate through several menus each timeAnd if you join a match with some players already groupedit's almost impossible to communicate to them asking them to switch. On PC, you can always just type and ask your teammates to hop in the right chaton console, there just isn't timeThis results in a lot gifs that look like this , with players having to pantomime yes'and no's to get their point acrossEntertaining? Yes. But not all that good for you if you're trying to +(Image: [[https://drscdn.500px.org/photo/1083358281/m3D1/v2?sig=a31a6ac81a862823199d40d1666745df6663636ed4d5b8bd4fce454defbfd4ca|https://drscdn.500px.org/photo/1083358281/m3D1/v2?sig=a31a6ac81a862823199d40d1666745df6663636ed4d5b8bd4fce454defbfd4ca]])A quick summary of each player'most-played heroes is now available by highlighting the player in the Groups section of the Social menu (statistics displayed will dynamically change based on the mode/rule

-We want more heroes! Just please, please not another string-along ARG event like Sombra'release. The months and months of anticipation really killed the hypeBut there is still hype! There are some heroes fans have been hyped about since the first Cinematic Trailer was released for Overwatch . In this particular trailer we get nods to heroes named Soundquake and Fusionator. In the center of all the action is Doomfist's gauntlet. And at the end we get a still image of some of our favorite founding members of Overwatch alongside some unknown faces. Some of these early hero concepts have been discarded, merged with other ideas to make heroes like Mei and Zarya, and some, we hope, are still in developmentIt's this mystery that feeds the hypeWe've only heard about founding Overwatch team member Liao and seen some secondary characters like Mirembe in more than one digital sh+SEASON 3 COMPETITIVE PLAY Competitive Play'second season will end on November 23 at 4PM PDT (November 24 at 0:00 UTC), and the third season will begin on November 30 at 4PM PDT (December 1 at 0:00 UTC)During the week-long off season, you'll still be able to queue for matches using the Competitive Play rulesetbut your skill rating will not be affected and no Competitive Points will be awardedWe've also made a few adjustments to the skill rating system for season 3Players will be distributed more broadly across the skill tierswhich means that your season 3 rating will probably be lower than the previous sea

-In season one, you didn't play competitiveIn season twoyou placed platinum but ended in silver. In season three, you placed 600 bronze? You might remember the big overhaul to Competitive Mode in season three , where the Overwatch team felt gold and platinum brackets were overcrowdedThey warned players'you might be ranked lower than you expected' and they couldn't have been more right. Players who had never seen the depths of ELO hell (the bottom of bronze, where it feels impossible to dig yourself out of) found themselves frustrated and hungry for a win, while new players were getting earfuls of criticism over their non-meta attack Bastion picks. This is because a huge factor in placement was now your previous season's performance, not just the 10 placement matches, and varying levels of experience were being jostled together once againSome players have called for the amount of hours of competitive play to be a factor in placement and matchmakingOthers have called for placements to occur in their own bubblenot in otherscompetitive matchBut all players just want something consistentand would hate to suffer a big surprise like they did with the opening of season th+Three heroes have also seen some major adjustmentsFor McCreeDeadeye now begins to lock onto targets after 0.2 secondsinstead of the previous lock-on time of 0.8 secondsWith Reaperyou'll now regain 20% health from all damage done to heroesRoadhog's head hitbox has also been reduced by 20%while his Scrap Gun will now do 33% less dam
