The _ Far Cry _ games have always been equivalent to action summer blockbusters. The main character is a Rambo-like warrior who dispatches bad guys left and right. Due to its tight combat and gunplay, players have always been able to create their own action set-pieces. It would be great if Ubisoft could introduce a mode where players can record moments, then edit the footage with different shots to make it more cinematic. There was also a radius that your partner could not ego far from or else the game would you to tell you to get closer. In this case, it makes sense considering there's no The Crew or Splinter Cell title coming anytime soon from the little bits of information Ubisoft has given so far. It's definitely unfortunate for those holding out for a new Splinter Cell , one of Ubisoft's most demanded-to-return franchises, but the aforementioned lineup does sound promis

 
It's worth mentioning that Ubisoft's 2020-2021 fiscal year is one of the most packed release years for Ubisoft in recent history, in terms of AAA games. Additions like Gods and Monsters , along with mainstays like Watch Dogs: Legion , have to fit in somewhere between a full-length Assassin's Creed game and probably the next Far Cry . It's a stark contrast from last fiscal year, where Ubisoft had its lightest release slate in recent years with only three AAA games. Now it seems Ubisoft is going all-in and releasing several core entries in some of the publisher's biggest franchises thus far, but the challenge here is going to be perception. Many are going to be distrusting after Breakpoint's debacle, so the delivery of these games are going to have to be up to sn

While the mechanics and game design of the game do feel notably better than previous titles, that doesn't extend to the actual level design. Though there are missions of Far Cry New Dawn that work to break the mold, most stages (story or side-quests) are simply shooting galleries or puzzle-solving bunker missions. Far Cry 5 injected far more personality into their missions and is going to feel far more memorable because of it.
