All three of GTA V's protagonists will also be able engage in several side activities. However, Rockstar wanted to give Michael, Trevor and Franklin certain unique hobbies, exclusive to them. What those specific hobbies are remains a mystery but Rockstar did mention that activities such as yoga, Jet Skiing, tennis, triathlons, base-jumping and golf will feature in the game. Rockstar also said that the core gameplay mechanics found in GTA V , such as driving, shooting and melee combat have largely been rebuilt from the ground up.

It baffles me as to why Rockstar would even consider a first-person mode for GTA V. Perhaps it was the success of open-world shooters like Far Cry 3 that inspired them to do this, which is understandable. However, Far Cry 3 is a shooter. It’s built as a shooter and the shooting is a huge part of the game’s appeal. Sure, there’s exploration, but the action is Far Cry’s appeal by far. Grand Theft Auto V, for all its gritty action and violence, is not a shooter. Its action comes from something less primal and more intelligent. If anything, this first-person shooter setup does more to pander to the FPS crowd than to thoughtfully expand on what Grand Theft Auto has always been about.

 
Grand Theft Auto V was always destined to make a ton of cash being one of, if not the biggest franchise in all of gaming. Just a few weeks ago Grand Theft Auto V became the most successful entertainment franchise ever. Making $1 billion in just 3 days , the success of the game was extraordinary. The video game industry has been a little unstable with its expectations in the last few years.
