Other than the new designs, Brawl Chess doesn't change the game of chess in any way whatsoever. Each of the pieces move in the exact same ways that they traditionally do, but there are a few ways that have made things simpler for newcomers. There are markers that appear every time the player selects a piece to show where it can be moved, which stops players from making an illegal move or from moving a piece when they should move their King instead. So far, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl's box art is composed only of fighter silhouettes, not even showing those already announced in the roster. To the left of the shadowed cover art is an image that looks strikingly familiar to Korra. The silhouette holds a flexed arm out with a clenched fist, leading back to the shadow of a head that seems to mirror Korra's early series hairstyle with three distinct ponytails. Just below the silhouette that resembles Korra is the shadow of an outstretched human hand. With the Avatar universe top of mind, it closely resembles the hand and sleeve of Aang. Aang is frequently seen with his hand outstretched, a pose matching the shadow on the cover 

 
There's also a stage set in a junkyard. Most likely, this stage from Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is related to Aaahh!!! Real Monsters . In that show, the monsters live in a junkyard, so this would be the perfect setting for them. The other option would be Hey Arnold! , as the look of the stage matches the look of that show. The trailer also shows off a graveyard stage that could be related to the Real Monsters or several other Nick properties like Invader Zim . One thing that helps make up for this simplification is the five different difficulty levels for players to experiment with. It is highly recommended that those who only have a passing familiarity with chess start with the easiest level in order to grow accustomed to Brawl Chess , as the higher levels can actually get considerably more difficult. Given Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra are two of Nickelodeon's strongest IPs, transcending generations of fans, it was puzzling that Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl's reveal didn't lead with Aang and Korra on the initial roster. As the game isn't set to launch until the fall, it's possible developers are holding that announcement until closer to the release date in order to ramp up hype around the game. However, keen-eyed fans may have seen both avatars on Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl's cover 

 
While many familiar Nick faces have been confirmed for the roster, the trailer hints there are still more that have not yet been announced. Publisher GameMill Entertainment, which also published Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2 , hasn't stated who these other characters will be, but popular Nickelodeon franchises like Fairly Odd Parents were not featured in the trailer, so fans can likely expect Timmy Turner and other characters to join.
