Which Engraving is better? Neither. While most builds grab Blessed Aura, it's not uncommon to see a Paladin grab both Engravings. **** Blessed Aura is mandatory for all Paladins in the endgame to boost their support capabilities, and Judgment is incredible for increasing the uptime of your Holy Aura.

Piety Meter: Each time your attack hits a target, the Piety Meter increases. It also passively gains charge. At max charge, you can activate either Sacred Executioner or Holy Aura. Sacred Executioner enhances your Punish skills, while Holy Aura grants you and nearby allies 10% increased attack damage. You cannot gain Piety while either buff is active, and the gauge resets when either effect ends. Only one of these buffs can be active at a time.

To be a good Paladin player, you're going to want a mix of Punish (blue) and Holy (yellow) skills in your rotation. In general, your Punish skills will be used to quickly build up your Piety Meter. On the topic of grinding, there is always a temptation to blast through content as quickly as possible in MMOs. I did this in the closed beta of Lost Ark as well as during our closed preview session with the [[https://enricossf.com/|anime game Collectibles]]. The code arrived in January, and I’ve spent the last month leveling a few different characters as well as playing through the endgame content with the heavily overpowered classes that Amazon let us have a go with. From experience, I can tell you that this whole process is a bit daunting. It takes 10-15 hours for a very speedy run through the game. The Esoteric Skill Enhancement engraving is hardly used at all. This is mostly because its mild damage buffs are just not as strong as the buffs from First Intention. However, using the First Intention engraving does mean some of those more interesting Esoteric skills are less impactful. As it currently stands, however, you will be hard-pressed to find a build that features the Esoteric Skill Enhancement engraving. First Intention is by far the more popular Engraving.
