getcfg

Query and Record SB Instrument Configuration

getcfg accesses the Brewer’s internal memory configuration information, and as currently written, can only overwrite an existing file within the directory.

Note: The constants in this file affect the operation and calibration of the instrument, and normally are not changed unless the instrument is undergoing recalibration or has undergone repairs. This command requires operator input, and changes should be made or approved only by qualified personnel.

Process:
Ensure a copy of the desired configuration file is in the same directory where the BrewCmdW.exe program resides.

Run BrewCmdW.exe within a command window.

Eventually the following statement is displayed: [using cosmac mode at 1200 baud, on com 1; tracing is off] should be displayed. If the command help is entered, a list of available commands will be displayed.

Type loadmode to change modes. Eventually the following statement is displayed: [using loadmode at 1200 baud, on com 1: tracing is off]

Go into Opmode by typing opmode 9600. Waiting for mode change to complete is displayed and eventually the fan turns on if the heater option is ordered and the display will eventually display [using operating mode at 9600 baud, on com 1: tracing is off ]

Get the configuration file from the microprocessor by typing getcfg brewnnn.cfg (or configuration file name within the directory). The file transfer will take approximately 1.5 minutes to complete.

The newly written file can be reviewed.
