This is an old revision of the document!

The initial batch of speculation was conveniently gathered by YouTuber Lossy in a dedicated video, which comes from EA, which sent a survey to Battlefield fans . Several questions referenced battle royale mechanics including maps changing over time and an obligatory battle pass filled with both premium and free cosmetic rewards. The survey particularly focused on whether or not fans have any interest in a free-to-play mode in the first place. The next day, an insider leak courtesy of the bf6leaker user appeared on Reddit. The insider claimed to be in touch with a person from Battlefield 6 ’s development t

(Image: https://i.imgur.com/f34rzqv.jpeg)DICE's Battlefield 6 _ will reportedly take players to a near-future setting and see a new generation of weaponry when it launches later in 2021 , similar to 2012's _Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 . According to reports and rumors, it sounds like Battlefield 6 will stay true to its roots with its core gameplay but will take a leap forward in terms of setting and sc

Battlefield 's maps feel much more fleshed out when a team's deployment area includes a runway for planes, a couple helipads, and a row of drivable vehicles ready for the taking. Although destruction is an instrumental part of Battlefield map design, an exception could be made to build indestructible barriers around deployment areas, protecting a team's vehicles. If that's not enough to deter griefers, then DICE could simply make deployment vehicles indestructible until they've been occupied for a set amount of time or have traveled a certain distance from their spawn po

Helicopters could make strafing runs, firing minigun rounds through windows at a team hiding inside, while swooping around to dodge rounds fired from tanks below. There's so much potential for the kind of chaotic, emergent gameplay that the Battlefield franchise is known for, and all of that can be even more adrenaline-producing in a BR where dying is much more punishing than in a regular match of Conqu

Battlefield 6 (if that is indeed what the next Battlefield game is called ) is getting closer and closer, and details on the game have to be on the horizon if the game is going to make its 2021 release d

Battlefield 4 also features a popular map where players can take down a giant skyscraper in the center of the map, called the Seige of Shangai. While this might be a noble concept and one that did carry Battlefield for a long time, it seems that the next entry in the series needs to elevate the mechanic in an effort to renovate the series' form

Starting with Battlefield 1 and continuing as one of Battlefield 2042 Story Guide|Https://Battlefield2042Guide.Com/ V ' s many disappointments , vehicles no longer appear on the map, waiting for a player to hop inside. Instead, vehicles only appear when a player selects one from the spawn map menu. DICE most likely made this change to avoid griefing; although players aren't allowed near the enemy's deployment area, it wasn't uncommon for experienced players to find places where vehicles could be damaged from afar, making it so they were easily destroyed when someone starts piloting them. It's a sensible problem to try and fix, but taking vehicles off of the map entirely takes a lot away from the sandbox nature of Battlefie

All in all, a Battlefield BR that leans into the mechanics that the franchise is known for to be amazing. It could be a BR unlike anything players have seen before, carving out its own section of the BR market instead of being a hollow copy of another popular BR. But at the same time, a BR cannot take resources away from making sure the base game of Battlefield 6 is amazing; the series needs to hit this game out of the park in order for fans to regain faith in the franch

Regardless , Battlefield 6 is ultimately a great chance for DICE and EA to reinvigorate interest in the franchise with new and innovative mechanics to up the ante for player-created chaos. Destructible environments have a lot of potential that can be capitalized upon, and fans are zealously waiting out for their speculations to turn out to be t

The actual reveal of Battlefield 6 is expected for May, according to Henderson, but it won't feature any gameplay right off the bat. It sounds as if EA will first give players a glimpse of the game in a cinematic trailer, with gameplay being shown at a later date - possibly a summer event like EA Play. EA has already noted that the alpha for Battlefield 6 will be available sooner than previous titles in the series, which would mean a playable alpha could be released as soon as J

In order to stay relevant, a Battlefield BR would need to receive these kinds of constant updates that its competition does. This would require a huge dev team responsible solely for the BR, which would possibly take resources away from a team focused on creating new multiplayer content in other aspects of the game. This might not be a huge problem if EA and DICE give the proper resources to manage this, ensuring there's enough development power for both, but that would mean betting on the BR being a big enough success to warrant a separate team all its own. That would be a huge gamble, considering how quickly a lot of BRs come and go, including Battlefield 5's Firesto
