Powdered Toast Man is from The R en & Stimpy Show _ , one of the three original Nicktoons alongside _Rugrats and Doug . All three shows premiered on the same night in 1991. However, while Rugrats and Doug are notably wholesome shows in many respects, _Ren & Stimpy _ is the polar opposite. It proved both revolutionary and controversial, as many of its jokes challenged what adults thought was appropriate for kids. So far, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl's box art is composed only of fighter silhouettes, not even showing those already announced in the roster. To the left of the shadowed cover art is an image that looks strikingly familiar to Korra. The silhouette holds a flexed arm out with a clenched fist, leading back to the shadow of a head that seems to mirror Korra's early series hairstyle with three distinct ponytails. Just below the silhouette that resembles Korra is the shadow of an outstretched human hand. With the Avatar universe top of mind, it closely resembles the hand and sleeve of Aang. Powdered Toast Man was a television superhero and spokesperson for Powdered Toast, a delicious breakfast which tastes “just like sawdust.” He flies backwards. He can turn into Powdered Toast dust. He can shoot raisins out of his mouth at dangerous speeds. He has a phone on his tongue which alerts him to danger. His alter-ego is Pastor Toastman, a “cool youth deacon.” Powdered Toast Man appeared in two in-show commercial segments before getting his own full, self-titled episode. In “Powdered Toast Man,” the hero saves The Pope, voiced by legendary musician Frank Zappa. In short, the role Powdered Toast Man plays in Ren & Stimpy _ __ - long before getting brought into _Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl - is comparable to Mermaid Man in SpongeBob SquarePan
The trailer for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl does give a look at a stage that looks ripped right out of The Wild Thornberrys . In screenshots, it's also shown that this level can seemingly turn upside down, giving more credence to the idea that these stages will shift. Another shifting stage might be the two stages directly related to Shredder and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles . The trailer shows brawls happening in sewers and Shredder's Technodrome.
