David Fincher had an incredible challenge adapting the novel Gone Girl to film, but the opening shot is a hard one to forget. Showing what should be a loving scene between a husband and wife, Gamedealhq.com star Rosamund Pike’s sudden stare into the camera and Ben Affleck’s narration put audiences on edge, warning them that the story about to unfold was anything but simple. A kidnapping, lies, and murder all led the estranged couple back to eachother, forced to decide just how willing they were to keep lying for the sake of a marriage – and public perception. Having the couple end up right back where they started from may have been a hard pill for viewers to swallow, but Fincher makes the message loud and clear, ending the movie with the exact same shot he opened on – but the audience’s opinion of the woman in frame has completely chan

To populate the behind-the-scenes world of arcade games in Wreck-It Ralph , animators included characters from classic video games. Bowser, Pac-Man, Sonic the Hedgehog, Q*bert, and Frogger are among those that make an appearance. But, in one wide shot of Game Central Station, two characters unrelated to video games can be seen: Vladimir, one of the thugs in the Snuggly Duckling Pub, and Maximus, the proud palace horse, from Tangled , are walking in opposite directions in the station. There's also a dinosaur that very closely resembles Tiny the T-Rex from Meet the Robinsons , filling the scene with references to other Disney films amid all the game charact

In 1986, Steve Jobs purchased the Computer Graphics Division from George Lucas's Lucasfilm and established the independent company we now know to be Pixar. In honor of the man who also founded Apple, Pixar has included references to the tech company or Jobs himself in a number of films. Most notably, the titular robotic hero of Wall-E makes the recognizable Mac startup chime when he's done charging, and Apple products like computers and iPods are shown throughout Toy Story 3 . Finally, after passing away in 2011, the end credits of Brave featured a dedication to Jobs in memory of his contribution to Pixar. That last one may not necessarily be hidden, but it's worth mention

There's no way of knowing whether or not the original intention was to spell SEX or SFX - as the differences would be minute. Disney could have devised the SFX explanation after the fact in order to quell outrage from concerned parents but it's equally possible that the SEX controversy took-off simply because it's the more scandalous headline - especially in a fan-favorite kids mo

Film Divider 's sources also indicate that the new villain will be a male character and that the studio is looking for a Bryan Cranston-esque actor to play him. In fact, Cranston himself has apparently “ had words ” about taking the role, but what those words were and which direction they took remains a mystery for now. If Cranston does get the role then hopefully he'll get a bit more screen time than he was given in Godzil

However, in the case of Peter Jackson's King Kong remake, the director included a tongue-in-cheek message for savvy moviegoers who actually took the time to do translation work. Just before reaching Skull Island, SS Venture captain Englehorn intercepts a coded message calling for the arrest of Carl Denham (Jack Black). Yet the audible code does not actually say anything about an arrest and instead reads: “ Show me the monkey! ” - a campy hidden message in honor of the film's titular ape that will probably make readers think twice the next time they see morse code depicted on scr

Total Recall is a simple enough story: an everyday Earthling in the not-too-distant future, Douglas Quaid, dreams of a passionate affair with a beautiful woman on the surface of Mars. So when a business offers to implant false memories for a price, Quaid decides to make his dream a reality – at least as far as his mind is concerned. The procedure goes awry, and Quaid’s false memories disappear, revealing that he really WAS a secret agent working on Mars, and the woman from his dreams wasn’t imaginary. At least, that’s what he thinks. The movie never states whether Quaid’s return to Mars really happened, and whether he succeeded in releasing air into its atmosphere, and saving its poor population. But taking a quick glance at just how closely the film’s final scene resembles Quaid’s dream, those suspecting it was simply a fantasy have even more evidence to back up their cl

In the original, it was Drew Barrymore, cooking popcorn in her country home. In the sequel, it was Omar Epps and Jada Pinkett Smith at the movie theater, watching the diagetic film adaptation of the events of the original Scream - otherwise known as Stab. In the third, it was Liev Schrieber, who played reoccurring character and fameball, Cotton Weary. Though they were nowhere to be found in the above video, it’s been confirmed by Dimension Films that Anna Paquin ( True Blood ) and Kristen Bell ( Veronica Mars ) will provide the requisite pre-credit cameos this time aro
