Overall, it seems Ubisoft has been casting a wide net to determine where the Far Cry franchise could go next. That being said, the next entry may be coming within the next year, as late as spring of 2021 according to Ubisoft's fiscal year release schedule. Far Cry 6 may even be a potential sequel or set in the same universe as Far Cry 3 assuming Michael Mando is being more coy than playful. Or the game may go even further outside the box than usual and explore something completely new. Summer's gaming events should give us some more concrete i
Bringing back meaningful world manipulation to Far Cry 6 could once again highlight the player freedom that the series is known for. Stealth mechanics from Far Cry 3 onward were vastly improved from Far Cry 2 , including detection meters and more realistic enemy behavior. Bringing back real time progression and the manipulation of enemies and outposts could help players further customize their playstyle. The game could implement missions that involve guard shift changes, requiring players infiltrate outposts or complete missions at a specific time. Or if a player wants a stealth advantage, they could wait until nightfall for less enemies. It was an interesting aspect of Far Cry 2 that would seem right at home with the newer entries in the franch
Coming up next on the list is Far Cry 5, which takes players to Hope County, Montana, to bring down the doomsday cult heralded by Joseph Seed. Much like Far Cry 4 , players can play through the whole game’s campaign cooperatively, which can make for some hilarious antics thanks to the rich setting. Combining the wide variety of weapons and vehicles with the new companions and co-op makes for an incredibly fun and wild way to experience Far Cry 5 ’s rather dark narrative. Hopefully Far Cry New Dawn will be just as fun to experience cooperatively when it whisks players back to Hope County in early
Not only could the “average Jane” fail to get the thing to register her summoning of fire, the developer on hand for the demo stood there awkwardly rather than assisting in any way. This lead to several glittery 4's being written in the air, only to have nothing but idle chatter fol
Battlefield V is the next installment in the long-running Battlefield franchise and it continues to build and deliver exactly what fans expect from it. Fans of the Battlefield series will find a lot of similarities to past installments, for better or for worse. The biggest change coming with Battlefield V is the brand-new Firestorm battle royale mode , which launches in March 2019. Until then, players have plenty to enjoy from the rich single-player campaign to the various multiplayer mo
The game and peripheral are sure to sell like gangbusters, based on J.K. Rowling's attachment alone, but what was on display at E3 was laughably broken. If real books were this hard to read, there'd be a lot of illiterate kids out th
But sometimes, people go too far. And in the case of Ubisoft , they had some help. We're not prudes, so we're not talking about the parade of short-shorted dancers demonstrating Just Dance 4 . We know as much as anyone that attractive people having fun playing games is a great way to advertise a lifestyle. Host Aisha Tyler's claim that the girls were the attention of everyone present since we're “all a little bit gay” was a bit of a surprise, but we didn't know what we were in for. Those not in attendance may not have heard the catcalls and cheers from some of the 'press' assembled at the sight of bare breasts in the Far Cry 6 news|Https://farcry6Zone.com/ Cry 3 segment, but in retrospect, it set the tone for what follo
In many ways, Far Cry 3 is often considered the series' best entry, serving to both modernize and cement the franchise's popularity among fans. Vaas served as a genuinely intimidating villain, while the gameplay mechanics were honed and perfected from previous games into a satisfying shooter experience. With Far Cry 6 on the horizon, fans are likely expecting a similar revolution from the third game for the next generation. But before Far Cry 3 , the game wouldn't have existed without some serious innovation on the part of its predecessor Far Cry
Nintendo had a tall order this year: make up for last year by giving, as Fils-Aime put it, “a proper introduction” to the Wii U tablet controller. As we've mentioned, that also meant giving short shrift to their latest handheld. Unfortunately it also meant delivering a press conference that failed to announce any groundbreaking returns of the series' most beloved characters (beyond Mario in yet another side-scroller). The conference was certainly more reassuring than last year due to Pikmin 3 alone, but most of the rumored heavy hitters were abs
Obviously this year is proving to be a bit strange for the games industry, Ubisoft included. Where a certain AAA failure forced it to delay many of its upcoming titles, issues related to COVID-19 have made things even worse. But there is hope, with Assassin's Creed Valhalla coming to next-gen consoles later this year. Only thing missing is the reveal for Far Cry 6 , which is also apparently slated for this fiscal y
