Battlefield 5 had a lot of marketing hype on the way to its release, but quickly found itself under pressure from fans due to the live service approach being the source of many complaints. Over time the game struggled for a number of different circumstances, while games like Modern Warfare mostly saw praise. Even though Modern Warfare had its own share of problems, the game was very successful and is still riding great momentum. Battlefield 6 may need to make some serious adjustments if the series is to mount a comeb
Back in the day, the conversation for best first-person shooter often boiled down to two options: Call of Duty vs. Battlefield . It's the age old debate that's persisted since the seventh console generation. Unfortunately today, many would state that's no longer the debate. As the latest Call of Duty title sees plenty of success, the latest Battlefield game has ended its support with a dwindling playerbase. As Call of Duty prepares for another annual release despite some development trouble, Battlefield 6 eyes 2021 for the franchise's next en
This new Battlefield will come alongside FIFA 22 and Madden NFL 22 as major launches in the 2022 fiscal year, on top of other “new and ongoing live services and other titles.” This will follow the release of new content “across a broad range of genres” that will invest in Sony's PlayStation 5 and Microsoft's Xbox Series X in the 2021 fiscal year; including four sports games, four games from older properties, four global releases of titles from smaller developers, and two new mobile ga
DICE’s popular first-person shooter franchise will soon be returning in 2021 with the release of Battlefield 6 . The developer already announced that the content update for Battlefield 5 scheduled in June will be the last of its kind for the popular World War II shooter that has been making waves since its release in November 2018. Over its nearly two years of massive multiplayer battles, the game has maintained a large, dedicated following, with the largest game modes still becoming quickly popula
It's a bit of an abstract concept, but Battlefield has consistently focused on a strictly historical/realistic perspective in its most recent iterations. That alone isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it does make for a less creative or unique identity for Battlefield . At least in terms of gaming, it very quickly becomes just another game about the horrors of war, and less about people playing this game for entertainment. Future Battlefield games don't need to necessarily go crazy and be super campy like Bad Company , but for lack of a better expression, Battlefield shouldn't take itself too seriously. War is scary, but Battlefield should be fun first and forem
(Image: https://www.freepixels.com/class=)2019's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare made an interesting change to class customization called Gunsmith, allowing greater customization of weapons and attachments . While Gunsmith was completely new for attachments in Call of Duty , it was very reminiscent of the loadout customization system introduced in Battlefield 3 and expanded in subsequent entries. Integrating that much weapon customization was a first for the time, considering most Call of Duty games stopped at one attachment per gun unless players used something like the Bling perk. But where Battlefield distinguishes itself from Call of Duty in regards to weapons are the clas
Battlefield has had an issue in the past with destruction not having any recognizable impact on gameplay. Previous titles like Battlefield: Bad Company 2 used to integrate the capability of destruction into its level design, which is partially what made Bad Company 2 one of the best games in the whole series. Games like Battlefield 3 onward tried to replicate the importance of destruction in different ways, but the “Levolution” mechanics ended up being lackluster in comparison. Alternatively, a higher player density in multiplayer games could make games like Conquest a bit more strategic with squad placements. Any capability to add more players on screen/in the lobby is perfect for Battlefield , which thrives on simulating large-scale warf
For all the great success that Battlefield 1 brought to EA's flagship shooter, Battlefield 5 failed to capitalize on that momentum. As for Call of Duty , Black Ops 4 still performed considerably well and now Modern Warfare and Warzone are even better. To many this debate has been put on hold, but Battlefield 2042 maps|https://Battlefield2042hq.Com/ has made a resurgence from a poor title before. Both series are poised for their next entries over the course of this next year of releases, meaning this debate could come b
Other big takeaways from the call include the fact that Madden NFL 20 is the best performing game in its series' 30-year history, that live services are expected to be a primary growth driver in the 2021 fiscal year, and that the company will have four esports franchises in the coming year. Wilson also says they will be approaching next-generation consoles “with some of our top titles,” though it's currently believed the PS5 will have more of its own exclusive titles at lau
